Everyone should have one.
We haven't had one in a long time, my honey and I. But we had a surprise date night thanks to my mother-in-law. And it was fabulous.
When you have small children, having adult conversation is rare. You might have time to talk after the kids go to bed but mostly we are two vegetables in front of the TV or cleaning the kitchen, or reading one of the many magazines piling up. Adult conversation about matters of importance? Well, it just doesn't happen.
But we had a GLORIOUS dinner last night with a nice bottle of wine and we talked for three hours. It was wonderful. It's always nice to be reminded of WHY you got married in the first place. Not that we ever doubted why, but still it's nice that "we still got it".
